After a longer period with a humble HP Photosmart and a shorter period with a Fuji Finepix S5000 I am eager to try something more advanced as I have really gotten into photography. I first checked out the prosumers, the like of Nikon 8800 and Minolta Dimage A2. But I talked to a firend of mine (he is a photographer) he said that I should consider the entry level SLR's as they have better image quality, and the fact that SLR's are cameras you can "grow" into. Obviously the Canon EOS300D and Nikon D70 cought my eye. So the questions are as following:

1. Is the Nikkon D70 worth the permium over the Rebel?

2. Are the entry level SLR's worth the perium over the prosumers?

(Sorry for my spelling mistakes, english is my 3rd languege)
