alright so here's the deal.. lookin to get my GF a new digi for xmas.. i myself am an avid photographer, but in the film slr side of things.. so i was hoping to get some opinions from those of you who have had the opportunity to try these models out.. searching online i have found that i can get the sony and the canon for roughly 225 and the casio for bout 235.. so price difference is negligeable.. and i read the reviews and image quality seems to be quite good on all of them..

knowing my gf, she will like the looks of the casio best, as it is small and cute.. but it seems as though access to features is all menu driven and thus slower...

i prefer the layout of the a85, as it is more substantial to the hold and more features are laid out on buttons and dials..

the sony, i dont know as much about, as i have not had a chance to hold that one.. how does it compare to the other ones?

anyways, i guess that if it were solely for her use, i'd get her the cute one (casio), but i know that i will be using it extensively as well, as my Canon A2E is a bit bulky to have at all times =) and i just dont like the abundance of menu driven features.. so iwould leantowards the a85.. what do you think, the p73 a good combination of cuteness and access to features? or feel free to suggest another camera that would be a good compromise...
