:?Befor I had a Panasonic FZ2 with super optical zoom 12xwith IS , the camera gave me the great photo , but the video clip 320x240 was not enought for me , so now I have a Fuji Finepix F610 , with video clip 640x480 , normally I must happy , but I have other problem , optical zoom only 3x , so I am looking for other one , and I found the Pentax Optio MX4 maybe the one I look for .

Anyone who own the Pentax Optio MX4 , please share me your experience of this camera , advance thank.

I have owned a MX4 now about a year. Pros: does very good video, better than a typical analog camcorder (VHS/8mm); very good still work, autofocus and exposure are VERY dependable, 10x optical zoom enclosed for protection. Carry it everywhere and no problems so far. Cons: slow CCD at 100 ASA means difficult to use indoors or in low light (twilight) and indoor videos are usually pretty bad. This also affects autofocus which fails without enough light. This camera also has very poor autofocus in video mode; in fact focus hunting can be so bad in videos as to make them worthless. Best fix I have found for this is put camera in "landscape mode" before shooting videos, as this locks lens at infinity. This will do god video because of the lenses excellent depth of field. Any other questions plez ask!
