I'm interested in user's opinions of either model or of serious comparisons already made (beyond main specs, screen size etc.)

? It appears as if the Exilim has an auto-macro mode whereas the Optio remains manual. That would seem nice but not essential - what is not clear is - how does it function (is it ambiguous wording for autofocus in manually selected macro mode, is there a manual override, what happens when it goes wrong..?). Please explain!

? I read somewhere that the Option has an AF assist light for better focusing in low light conditions, and it would appear as if the Exilim does not have this. Any further info?

+ Both are now USB 2.0, nice.

- Neither now have a viewfinder - can't have everything but there have been occasions in bright light when it is difficult to frame with an LCD.

Having used a Pentax Optio S4 with an overall sense of satifaction, given the size limitations, I have been more tempted by the Casio this time around. Tiny bit bigger, but bigger screen, sense of better operability.

Please add comments, feedback, or, whatever else with regard to either or both these models, that may help me (and others) decide! Thanks
