I am planning to buy a 7 megapixel compact camera tomorrow or Tuesday. I really don't know which one to buy. Many of my photos will be of children. They wil be taken handheld and often indoors. I'd SO much appreciate advise on the purchase. I'm very confused about the choices. Thanks so much in advance.

If I were going to get a small camera I would get the SD500, It is new and but the G-6 looks like the one for me. If the S2-IS had a Lith-Ion battery I would wait for it. I like the tilt LCD I can see it with my bi-focals without craining my neck. It can be turned over to protect it when not in use too.The G-6 can be hadfor about the same $ as the SD500.

In a nutshell...I tried the Canon SD500, Sony W7, Sony P200, and the Casio Z750;

The best all around for picture / movie quality, scene modes, movie modes, speed, LCD, size, battery life, etc. was the CASIO. Downside for me with the CASIOis the cradle.
