I'm going to buy a new Pentax istDS camera body. Rather than buy a package with a standard type lens and then have to go buy other lenses, my thought process is to buy the camera body and then buy one or two of the newly designed digital SLR lenses such as the new Tamron SPAF11-18 wide angle, and/or the Tamron AF 18-200 Di ll LD macro. I'm also looking at the new Pentax lens 50-200 made specially for digi slr's. I would like some opinions as to whether or not I'm not the right track by buying the camera body and then cherry picking these lenses and if the lenses I just spoke about would be the best choices. I realize that the Tamron 18-200 and Pentax 50-200 are similar to some extent but here again, I'm not sure which one to buy. The Tamron seems to have more ability but is heavier and it's not Pentax. Would that matter? Any help or opinions would be much appreciated
