I have an Fujifilm A202, and what I like about it is that there is no focusing required. It is a point and shoot in the true sense of the word. But it seems that all newer cameras has to do some focusing. Even the entry level cameras in steves section has autofocus, wich means that focusing is required.

Even with an AF lamp focusing in near total darkness is very difficult, even for the more expensive cameras.

I was wondering if there are still cameras being made that does not require any focussing (obviously it has no optical zoom).

The Casio EXS3 is a 3MP fixed focus camera that is still on sale.

Of course, you can also consider some new high end phones like the Sony Erricson 750. It's got a 2MP fixed focus camera built in.

IMHO, you're better off looking for a good camera with a wide lense and a fast autofocus, like the Sony DSC-S40 or the Canon Powershot SD400. Fixed focus is a compromise.
