Nevermind, I found it over at the review on mepapixel.net

---AF Illuminator: to control whether or not the AF assist light operates when the ambient light is insufficient to guarantee that the AF will operate reliably. ----

I'm a big Olympus fan, having loved my C-730 for four years, and, more recently, my C-5500. I didn't really *need* another camera, certainly not a replacement for either of those two. But when I readthe reviews of the Panasonic FZ5 I became rather obsessed. :-)

It just arrived (from IBuyDigital.com), so I can't say much about the features except the startlingly fast focus. You might consider this one, too.

Be careful with the FZ-5 - it has no manual focus.

This can be an unpleasant surprise to people, because we more or less expect all cameras in this range to have manual focus - especially now that Kodak has finally joined in.
