Ok which one? One of my cheer moms is asking for a PS type camera rec. I am using a DSLR canon......

Zoom is an issue last year i got the best of a 6490Kodak and it did very well........

I like this year the Kodak 880 seems good

Problem is these shots are far away and low light UGH!

ps with lots of zoom

canon S2, Panasonic FZ5. F20, F30, Sony H1, Fuji 5200,5900.

The fuji probably have the best low light capability, though they have slightly shorter zoom.

You're saying that the Kodak 6490 did an ok job in similar light conditions? If that's the case, the Kodak 850 should be plenty.

I have the Fuji S5200. No image stabilization, but it does better than most of the competition at high ISO's. 10X optical zoom. You can get it for just over $300 online.
