I am upgrading from slr eos rebel 7 to digital. Very confused

requirements for hobby - proffesional means.

Looking at the eos 350 or 20d series

Any advice

If you have no digital experience, I'd suggest either getting a cheap (~US$250 or a bit less) shitpocket sized camera or putting a few rolls of film onto a CD. (It is nice to have a small camera even when you have a much better one.)

The point being to get some digital experience cheaply before spending serious money on equipment. Learn how to edit and print digital photos - when you have done that, you will have a much better idea of what you want, you will be ready to use it, and the prices will have come down.

It would be helpful to know the kind of photography you do and whether you have a budget in mind.

Also - what lenses & accessories you already have for your film SLR.
