My mom has just finished training to be a flooring claims inspector. She needs a camera that is going to be good at taking very close-up pictures becuase she will need to photograph flaws in carpet, wood, etc. She will sometimes need to see tiny fibers in carpet. She can get the Canon PowerShot S2 ISfor free through a sales rewards program. Would this be a good pick for her?

The S2 would be a great choice. It has wonderful macro capabilities.. as for the price.. can't do better than that!
