I'm looking for a camera that I can keep in my pocket. The main purpose is for family events, but also to have a camera handy for those unexpected shots in life. Here are my wants in not particular order:
  1. Optics must be covered when in my pocket (preferably difficult to open accidentially)[/*]
  2. Relatively large LCD display for sharing photos (I plan to protect with one of those PDA screen protectors)[/*]
  3. Optical zoom ~3 or better[/*]
  4. Decent flash capability
  5. Megapixels 3 or better[/*]
  6. Decent optics
I would like some suggestions to use as my starting point in shopping. Thanks in advance.

The two best cameras I can think of are these

Casio Exilim Z120
3x optical zoom
2" LCD
Fantastic image quality
Good High ISO performance

Kodak Z-530
3x optical zoom
Also great image quality
2.5" LCD

Others will suggest different models, but I am positive that these are two of the best meeting your criterea.
