i agree with ET.. S9000 is a good low light performer if you really dont want to go dSLR (Id recommend going dSLR though)...

alot is made of IS/VR but in my (limited) experience 9/10 its better to get a tripod if your snapping a static object in low light... if the object is moving then your going to have to up shutter speeds thus negating the IS effect

I have read many of your posts. I thank you for your imput. I have been a fuji fan as my 2nd and 3rd cameras were/are fuji. I love my s602 but I just don't have mixed results when I don't use auto r/t lack of knowledge. Thanks so much, I'll keep an eye on the fuji 9000 - still thinking about the s5200 - especially since Steve had such a great review. Although, I'm still keeping in mind it's limitations as mentioned above.
