Thanks JimC for the suggestions about printing some photos and see how it compares. Regarding the square nature of MP verses PPI I am well aware. on my website (www.mattspinelli.com) I have a PPI and MP calculator that does just that.

Broadway Photo does not have a good reputation but I got my New with factory warranty Sigma 18-125 lens for my Pentax DL for $220.00 + shipping for a total of $236.99. Shipping was a little steep but I still got the lens for way less than any other site. They did try to sell me a filter but all I said was no thanks and the deal was done. I did this as an internet sale and the next day they had a message on my account to call them. This was their pitch to sell me the filter. I don't like this kind of business practice but I saved quite a bit of money for the minimum hassle. Had the lens in 5 days and one of those was a Jewish holiday so I was told and they where closed that day.
