I have a Rebel TI camera with two lenses, and I was thinking of jumping into the digital SLR world. As of now I just use the camera for pleasure shot's, (outdoors, camping, sporting events, etc),but want to gain alot more experience. I already have a few digital point and shoot camera's, one a cannon, and an Olympus. Since I have the two lenses, I wanted to stick with Cannon, (although the Nikon D 50 with a two lense kit is priced very nicely). I went to compare a few cameras, (Nikon d50, Rebel XT, and EOS 20 D. I don't like the way the XT fits in my hand. It's alittle small. The 20 D is a real nice camera and fits well, as does the Nikon D 50. I had sort of made up my mind with the EOS 20 D. I was going to wait until the 30 D came out, and see if there was a price reduction for the 20 D. While doing some research on the 20 D, I saw that there are some new 10 D's still available, at nice prices. The question is, even though the camera is three years old, would anyone buy one, even though the 20 and soon to be 30 is out. It dosen't look like there is a huge difference between the 10 and 20. Given that this will be my 1st SLR, With my experience, I don't think I will initialy miss alot of the features the new cameras have. What do you think. Or should I just go with the 20 D. :? Thanks in advance....... Steve

No, I would not buy a Canon 10D right now.
