I currently have a Finepix S602Z and am ready to replace it.

I want at least as good and flexible a camera with at least 10x optical zoom.

I want a camera that feels like an SLR, ie not a small compact

(Also if possible I would like to be able to use my 1GB microdrive)

I am prepared to spend up to A$1000

The features I really like and wish to retain are:-

1) multiple shots with one click

2) pre-programmed RUN (fast shutter option)

3) video with no limit

4) AA batteries

The features I would like to improve are:-

1) the speed to store away the 5 shots

2) a decent manual focus

You might want to take a serious look at the Fuji S-9000, it seems to offer more of what you want.
