There are so many cameras and so many different options on the market that I really need a few suggestions. I know you guys probably get this all the time and I do apologize but this seemed to be the best place to seek help...

I spend a lot of time outdoors and I miss out on many would be great photo ops. Just today I wished I could have taken a decent photo of a newly emerged dragonfly standing on top of its shell which was on top of a beautiful moss covered log with the river and trees in the background. Also, I'd like to take pictures of the fish I catch as proof. I've grown bored with my old kodak dc215 zoom camera and honestly it never really gave me the pictures I wanted. I really want to stick with something digital but I guess I'd like the ability to attach a magnifying lens of some sort to capture small animals and other wildlife that I encounter. Not very interested in taking video, I just want some pictures that look good when I put them on my computer background or share them with friends.
