Hi all,

A year or so ago I was looking for a decent camera for work. I work in a shop with a bunch of jet engine technicians and our camera use is primarily taking close ups (less than a foot away) and some macro as well. I ended up buying a Fuji A340 I think it is and it has been a good camera.

I have been asked to purchase another digicam but this time I would like to find something that has better macro, which will work with using the flash that close, with a budget of under say $300. I would like to find a macro that has a distance closer than 3.9". It must be somewhat portable size. Smaller than a Fuji S5000 that I personally own.

Any suggestions?

This pic I took at 2inches away.
