I am an architecture student at Georgia Tech and I'm looking into buying my own digital camera to document the work that I do in studio. I also want a good camera for vacation and other special occasions. I'm having trouble deciding between the Canon SD700 IS, the Canon SD630, or the Kodak V570. If the prices were all the same, I would go with the SD700, but that is not so. I was just seeking some opinions from people who know more about digital cameras that I do to see which investment is most worthwhile.

If it would be documenting architecture "in live" Kodak would be way superior, wide angles of others aren't good.
If that isn't important SD700 has stabilization which helps considerably in lower light stationary target shots.

Are you going after ultracompacts or is pocketable enough?
Panasonic FX01 would have good wide angle and stabilization while being little thicker than these cameras.

I doesn't have to be ultracompact, size really doesn't matter that much. I don't want somethign huge though... I will look into the FX01. Thanks for the info!
