I have the epson 2400 with the k3 inks and I am trying to print on double sided matte paper. The paper is album hinged and double sided for photo albums, it is not manufactured by epson. I purchased the paper from an album company and they do not specify what brand paper it is, although they do say to set the printer for epson enhanced matte. When I print images with a lor of dark colors like black or brown, paper curls and the print heads seem to drag across the paper leaving smear marks. It has also done this when printing with or without borders. I have tried both the standard sheet feeder and the single sheet feeder, still happens.

any suggestions?

If this is occurs on the first side, the only thing i can suggest is to disable the high-speed print. This may slow it down enough for the inks to be absorbed more thoroughly and produce less curl. If it's on the second printing, try giving it more drying time between prints.
