How is this different than the i9100 (or the older s9000)?

Take a look at the i960 review and the pictures that are scanned in. I was surprised to see the difference between the i960 and i9100 images.

I had thought the two printers were using the same technology but something appears to be different (assuming they were printed from the same machine or at least the same OS).

Does anyone have an idea for the difference between these photos?

"I am now waiting to see if Canon comes out with a wide-carriage version of the i960, that would be awesome! "

It took them a while but they finally did -- it's called the i9900, see the review and my comparison print/scans in the conclusion -- awesome printer!

I've had a Canon i9100 for a year and I thoughts the prints were just fantastic. Last weeek I upgraded to a i9900. What can I say, they are even better! I could not have imagined! The prints show NO printer grain and the color has more punch than the i9100.
