Hello,

I do professional architectural work with my i9900, so the more paper size I can squeeze out of it the better.

I have heard mention of printing 13X24 on the i9900, but not full panoramas.

In the Canon driver, there is no paper size setting for 13X24, so how can this be possible?

Also, where can paper in this strange size be purchased?

Thanks very much!

-David.

I don't have a 9900 and can't help with the settings. You can get roll paper from
www.redriverpaper.com in 13 inch widths.

I wish Canon would start making panorama paper so they could come out with a firmware update for the 9900 to do full panoramas.

Using the custom paper size setting on the i9900 allows for a maximum size of up to 16.54" by 23.39"

Does that mean it will take 16 inch wide paper?

Actually guys, I just measured my printer, and nothing, and I mean NOTHING larger than 13.5" wide will physically fit through the i9900. It is a physical impossibility, as the slot for the paper to pass through is only this wide.

Steve is correct, however, that larger sizes are available in the driver. It is just a little piculiar that they would allow sizes to be chosen that would be impossible to actually use.

Thanks. I was going to run right out and get one if it could take 16-inch stock.

No problem, it's the least I could do after all that digicam help. :-)

It's a shame it won't do the larger sheets. In architecture we often use 18X24 sheets. It would have been nice. Oh well.

It's strange that the driver would let you chose a size larger than is physically possible to fit in the printer. It is definitely only a 13-inch wide printer. Some day the guys who write the software ought to actually talk to the guys who make the printers -- or at least take a look at it ...
