I'm ready to buy a Canon i9900, and will have to buy a cable. In Steve's review of the i9900 he implies that its Firewire connection is only for Macs. Is that true? My PC has both firewire and USB. The USBs on the back panel are already in use, so I'd like to use the Firewire.Otherwise I'llhave to plug the printer into one of the USBs on the front of the PC. What sayest thou, oh great Gurus and knowers of all things?

Steve is correct, firewire is Mac only.

Thanks. I found that Canon's site said the same thing. I was hoping that someone had tried it and found that it worked after all. I guess that Canon's PC drivers won't talk to firewire. Too bad!!
