Bought it no, The stores here all list it as "out-of-stock" but they are happily taking orders. It is listing in at 1100$cdn

From what I have read it has a new 8 color ultrachorme K3 inkset with 3 blacks. And is supposed to be much faster that the original 2200.

IMHO: All-in-all it looks like Epson will have another winner in the R2400.

Epson has also released the new 4800, 7800, and 9800 to replace the old 4000, 7600, and 9600 units.
Oddly the 7800,9800 both say they use the new UltraChromeK3 inkset and the 4800 says it uses the old ultrachrome inks, may be a error in its specs :-).

Myself, I won't be buying another small format R2400 to replace my old existing 2200 :-)
I was waffling between the 4000, and 7600, procrastinated just long enough to get the new line released, If it is true that the 4800 is still using the old inks I think Epson has helped me make up my mind :-).

I haven't been able to order the R2400 (small format???), at amazon.com it says out june 15. But I have seen some early reports at these links:
http://www.photo-i.co.uk/News/May05/Epson%202400.htm
http://www.dpnow.com/1789.html
I feel lucky today, I ordered R1800 friday evening, and discovered the R2400 this sunday, just in time to cancel. Looks spectacular for monochrome prints, is supposed to be faster and more silent than R1800/2100.
Please shout out about any in-depth tests!
