Default ?? Which to buy ??

Hi all!
I am new to this site, and I am fairly new to Digital Photography.
I use a Nikon 995 for my digital photos.
Currently I take them to get printed at MotoPhoto.
However I have some really nice photos that I want larger than 8"x10" and have been researching photo printers. At the moment I have narrowed my selection down to either the Epson 2200 or the Canon S9000.
Any opinions or comparisons between the two?
I hear that the color of the Epson and the speed are not as good as the Canon, but the canon is faster. The problem with the Canon is the lifetime of the ink (much less than the Epson).
Which gives a better wide carriage print?
Does the Canon smear? I hear that the Epson ink dries FAST.
Any assistance would be wonderful.
Thanks!
-Frank

I owned an S9000 for a while and the output was great, especially on their Photo Paper Pro. Just like the photo labs. Clarity was also good. I tried an Epson 2200 for a few days . Claritywas excellent. BUT i needed to print borderless cut sheets of 4x6 alot (80 % of the time) and Epsons borderless Glossy Photo Paper was ever so terrible. It was very dull and had no punch in it. BTW Epson does not recommend usinf this paper with the 2200!! Anyways i think i am going to switch back to the S9000 . The 2200 does produce very nice 5x7, and 8x10s and up on their semi gloss photo paper and their luster paper.
