Default Mac- OSX-s9000 problems

Hi everyone,
My brand new Canon S9000 is giving me fits!
I am using a G3 iBook, OSX.2.3, a Canon Powershot G2, and the latest Canon driver (v151).
My print quality is poor.....colors that don't match, are washed out, or are too "hot" for lack of a better word. The yellows are especially bad.
My other issue is printing borderless pictures. I have tried every suggestion I can find for doing so in iPhoto2, and Photoshop Elements, and can only produce a marginal picture with a stripe on one side. Happens in regular, and landscape mode.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can get this printer back on track...I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks...

Ray,

Thanks for the info. I calibrated my monitor, and my results are MUCH better.

Now- is there a way to print borderless 8x10, 4x6, without "stretching" the image to fit? I've notices some distortion of my subjects when I go borderless from within phtoshop elements.

Any guidance would be appreciated..

Try printing them from iPhoto. If that doesn't work look for updated drivers for your printer.I just purchased elements myself so I'll have to check it out.
