Minolta 5D kit lens.

I nearly didn't take the camera this time for the usual dog walk, just as well I did. Anyone know what dragonfly this is?

Hey Ray I am really glad you decided to take your camera. I can't help you with the name, I struggle enough with birds. Nice capture!

I managed to pay attention to the background for a change and was able to get into a position to use thedark background. I was suprised it didn't fly off as I ended up with the lens about 9 inches away from it.

You are so right here. The background can make or break a shot like this. You made it!! Nicely done:-)
