Help.

I've started shooting in RAW and this is the first time I've tried to post one after coverting to JPG and resizing down. The size seems to be well under the 250,000 bite limit but I just cant get one to stick in here.

Any help is appreciated

Hi Houston,

I've just started converting raw images also and after working in raw before changing to jpg I have to change from 16 bits/channel to8 bits to make it stick. Hope this helps.

Hi RDV, I checked and have already set it to 8 bits. But thanks anyhow RDV and if you think of anything else I'll be glad to try it.

Hi Houston, what programs are you using?
Someone may be using the same and know some tricks.
I use PS elements 4.0.

- I open the raw image in elements
- make adjustments
- then I'll select the Save for Web option
At this point I can save as a JPEG and make adjustments to
image size (800x600) and then adjust resolution to get the
< 244k size.

Hi Houston,

One thing I've noticed with my RAW to jpg process with regards to posting is that sometimes even if the size is below what the limit is, if it is close, it still won't work, so I save them again with a little more compression making the size the next one down, and then they seem to post.

I hope this or something helps. I 'm looking forward to seeing your shots.
