A Canon 400mm F/5.6L showed up at my door a little while ago. Took it out into harsh light and pestered the Hummers for a few minutes. I really think i'm going to like this lens.Did not use noise removal on this one.

What software do you usually use to do your Post processing? If your using Elements 4.0 always use the save for web feature and "maximize" the picture. I'd assume other copies of photoshop have this option as well. Enjot that new lens! :-)

Beautiful shot VP! Great detail and sharpness. Can't wait to see more from that lens. On another note, I think your sensor might have a little dust spot on the right side, just above the branch?? Maybe it's something else..........cheers.....Don.

Thanks guys..This lens will get some use for sure. It's pretty smooth.

Hey Don, that's not dust...it's a golfball.....been blowing it from one side to the other. Going to move it again shortly :-)

Great lens you got there, VP. It produced a very clean, sharp and well balanced image of the hummingbird.
