i haven't either! excellent shot!

i confess, when i read the title, the first thing i thought of was the Fw-190 fighter which Allied pilots called "the Butcher Bird" because it proved so deadly... but then i remembered, "wildlife forum - no WWII fighter planes here!" :?

These birds are a predator without the strong talons...they impale their prey on sharp sticks, barbed wire etc. to hold it. They are properly known as Loggerhead Shrike
