I have been trying to get someclose shots of these guyswhere lighting is right to catch their color and detail. They are determined to keep me at a distance.

i can't even get close enough to get a shot! the little stinkers won't let me within 50 yards! good work catching this one in flight!

Yes, looks like these little guys are trying to avoid us:-) I don't know why?

squirl....almost had a good sitting profile shot, but a dog walker showed up about five seconds too early:sad:

hey Boily...that 500mmsounds like a good idea.......might have to sell the farm though

These birds are very difficult to get close to for good shots. You did very well!

I love kingfishers VP and well done with the captures. I love the diving shot and I appreciate how hard this is. :-)
