I knew better than to leave home with my camera with heavy overcast skies...but I did. This one let me get a little closer than usual.Oh for some sunlight! Shot at ISO 500 f/5.6 1/1000

VP, you made the most of the overcast skys with these two shots. And Oh how I would like to get one of them in my viewfinder. The Sparrow Hawk is a very pretty bird and although I've never seen one I'm sure there are some of them around in my area. Maybe one day.......

Nice Kestrel. Stupid clouds. Pretty good results non the less. I would love to get a shot of one of these cute little guys.

Thanks for the comments on this one Houston and Steve. Have plans for getting some better as they have began to show up in numbers now.These little hawks/falcons should be in areas where you guys hang out.
