I am building a new web site for my photos so I am going thru all my old folders and I found a couple with Woody the Woodpecker. Here are the ones I decided to keep from one of the folders. I spent numerous hours chasing this character around the river bottom this last summer.

That is a cool looking woodpecker! I have never seen one of those, that I can remember. From my book....that looks like a Lewis's Woodpecker?

Morning VP. Thanks for looking and commenting.

I think you are correct about it being a Lewis Woodpecker.

Thanks Houston for you kind words and for taking the time to look.

I spent most of Spring and summer out in the woods taking pictures and now that things have slowed down a little I am finding some interesting things in some of the folders I hadn't looked at. I had to make a choice look at the dowloaded photos or spend more time in the woods. THE WOODS WON
