Default Local Bluejay

Hi Guys, sorry I haven't been around much the last few days. Here's one from the backyard.

Wow,
Lovely capture, I hate birds just sitting there for the photo, this is one of those "action" shots they really add life to the scene.

Well done with the detail and DOF, much for me to learn.

Greetings,
Frank

Great shot Kevin. Your DOF is so well controlled!

Very nice pic, nice colours.

As for DOF, I agree, its nice, but don't forget you can do most of that in photoshop if you happen to take a pic that doesn't have the ideal DOF.

Nice 'raptor' gallery by the way.

Photodude:

I don't think Kevin did in this shot (but I don't know do I!). But I looks to me, that there is a slight (very little) unsharpness on the bird, and if he PS worked it, I recon he would put some sharpness at the bird at the same time... (as a matter of fact I don't really care - it's the final shot that count for me...)

What about it Kevin ? Is this PS work ?

Doesn't look PS'ed, I was just commenting on these comments.

Was just saying that any of my photo's that have DOF issues I just use Photoshop to tidy it up.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!! Actually this one only saw PS for resizing, the rest was done in NC 3.5. I was just lucky on the DOF thing, actually the bird was in motion munching the peanuts down so I was suprised that it came out as it did. I've got some shots around here somewhere that I used a borrowed 400 2.8 for. I'll try to find a couple and post them. Thanks for the compliments on the Raptors as well.

Absolutely perfect. To take issue with this image I think would mean that you could never be satisfied. Beautiful, kevin!
