Taken from hilltop at approx. 150 yds. The buck refused to have his pic taken and moved on through the brush, so he got left out.

Very vigilant does - I notice their coats are still nice and "summery." Ours here are now in their winter garb - dull, tree-trunk color and often mottled. Guess it doesn't get cold enough in Texas for them to change clothes??? TX is one of two states that I have not visited in my extra-long lifetime (LA being the other). Anyway, these are beautiful does and a really nice shot. Thanks.

MsPuck....thank you for looking and the nice comment. The deer in my area ofTexas are in the process ofchanging "clothes" now.:-) We have been having some mild winters but it gets colder than I like.

You seem to enjoy watching and taking photos of deer so thought I would leave you with this buck in his nice summer coat. I thought he was a beautiful animal.

The deer scape is a "beautiful picture" VP and you are right about the buck, that is a "beautiful animal". Both of these pics are well worth keeping.

Houston, I really appreciate your comments on my efforts. Very often it is hard for metocapture the beauty of these wild creatures.
