The angle of the light was not to my liking...but the bird was still so I took the opportunity. Light does seem to be an enormous factor in the pleasing appearance of a shot.And I cloned out somebranches in the first one. Donna

2nd one...looks like sepia tone, but everything was just that brown. Sunlight would have warmed it up a bit. I guess I could have done that in RAW edit. thanks, Donna

Yes, light is everything Donna! You did well here! Not all shots need to be perfectly lit. I like the perspective you captured with the Sparrow staring off into the distance. The angle of light gives a mood to the shot and is a big part of the composition...Looks like its deep in thought.
