Default two colorful birds....

Shot today in rather bad weather, but I liked the outcome.

I've always remembered the pheasants at Leeds Castle in England. Heck, I remember it just as well as seeing the castle! They are magnificent animals. You pic looks a little over exposed or something... something is funny in the way that the light is reflecting off its head. Maybe that is just the nature of their feathers, and nothing is wrong?

Nice Parrot. Good exposure and focus, nice location (even if in captivity?) and I like the wider crop. Maybe could have used a fill flash to bring out its breast feathers... but that is being picky. Good job!

Hi,

I tried a few with fill-in flash but they were very harsh, my HP850 has a bad fill-in flash , soon it will be replaced with the 10D.

Greetings,
Frank

The fill on the 10D isn't bad. It doesn't have a great reach, and the slow shutter sync limitation is annoying at times. But it gets the job done. I will eventually replace it (in the next month or so) with a real hot-shoe flash.

Still, you are doing good work with the HP!

nice photos. But perhaps over saturated, or over sharpened? Could be my eyes too

BTW, did you see my question regarding monitor calibration with the Monaco Optix, under general question/anwer?

LCohen, will look at it now.
The pictures were slightly blurred due to the bad weather so I sharpened them a bit more than usual.
