Let me preface this by saying that those of you who have seen the few pics I have posted at Steve's know I am not a good photographer. In fact, when the planets align and I have a photo that exhibits tolerable composition, exposure, and sharpness, my elation often lasts the entire day. So, my expectations set comparitively low, I rejoice in this pic, taken on my lunch break from work.

ISO 400, Shutter 1/300s, full zoom

Comments and criticism most welcome.

Cute pic!!! I'm still laughing at how big the roll is and it looks like isn't gonna give it up to anyone or anything.

Hey Flip, I've posted my share of cute squirrels on this site andI never tire of them. I find them amusing and at times downright comical. Nice shot!! It looks like you had a confluence of good vibes that day. Thanks for posting this shot. Cheers, Dan

Dennis, Dan, Donna (all D's ?) I very much appreciate your comments.

Dan, you are absolutely correct when you say that I must have had a "confluence of good vibes" yesterday. I must have gotten to within 15 ft of the little guy and he didn't seem disturbed at all about it. And yes, squirrels are cute, entertaining and "downright comical"!

I took about 60 photos in all (!) and they actually tell the tale of his discovery of the roll to his exit. You can also see where I started shooting from far away and slowly worked my way closer.

Here's a couple other faves from that shoot:

Manny's about to take a bite. I f you look closely, you can see that his little mouth is open in anticipation...

And finally, Manny's running away with his prize. I'm a little surprised he didn't tip over from the weight of that roll, or that it didn't fall to pieces while he carried it!
