Default Seagull

A test with my 75-300 4-5.6 lens III and the Canon 10D.

Still struggling what to choose.
This is ISO 400.

Greetings,
Frank

Frank, did you use neat image or a similar program to clean up the noise. The underbelly and under the wings of the seagull look a little strange- I sometimes end up with the same when I use neat image to clean up the noise. Out of curiousity, why did you shoot using ISO400?
Nice shot otherwise

Frank, I think ISO 400 is a tad noisy. Could you coax the gull back and try a lower ISO. (^J^)

Frank,

Good work for getting such an in-flight shot. Black Headed Gulls don't hang about. Can I ask, is this a fairly heavily cropped shot ? If it is then that could explain the visibility of the noise on the image. I always see more of it the more I zoom into an image.

I've experimented with Neat Image, but I've always come back to using a lower ISO (100 on my CP 4500, 200 on my 100D).

I shoot at either 50 or 100 on my Canon G2.
