Took a drive to wherever day and ended up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. It was St. Patricks Day and I was just shooting and enjoying the nice day. Sun at last.

To my surprise I saw this slinking along the ice and it even took a tumble into the water but just kept on going. I managed to get a few shots of him/her and was quite pleased at the results since I was taken by surprise to even see this let alone just point and shoot with the settings I was on.

You got yourself a very nice shot of that little critter! Looks like it is standing on water instead of ice.

Nice capture Tom. How are you liking that D200 w/18-200VR combo? Makes a pretty nice spur of the moment lens doesn't it. Those little spontaneous trips can be fun and sometimes they result in some cool pictures.
All the best,
Steve

I like the 18-200mm VRII very much. Image quality is good to excellent. It is best between 24-180mm for my tastes but overall it is a very good lens from end to end.

It had been a while since the sun was out in these them thar parts and the drive itself was nice. Just kept going and well I am sure you've done stuff like that.

Thanks for the comments.
