That is a male White Crowned Sparrow. Cool looking bird but very destructive if you just over seeded your lawn. Out here in the Calif desert we have to over seed our lawns with Rye in the summer to keep our lawns green. The WCS came in and ate every last Rye Seed. I could not blame them as they were first attracted by all my bird feeders and their favorite food is grass seed. Good photos Kita!

Very nice shots. Up here in Ottawa we have them also, but they lack the blue colouration of yours.I didn't know they came in different flavours (I mean colours). Cheers, Dan

These birds are QUICK! the splashing waters were only captured with the flash's help.
