This usually quiet river trail is bustling with bird activity this time of year. I got out of work early and headed over there a couple of hours before sunset. All shots taken with a canon 20D and canon 70-200 f4. Post processing with PS CS2. Exif data intact.

Snowy egret gliding over the water.

Great egret making a soft landing.

Lesser goldfinch male. These guys are tiny.

A common yellow throat. It reminds me of a raccon.

A flock of ducklings. I think they got separated from their momma. I ran into her and 1 of the ducklings heading downstream, while these guys were going upstream. I hope they get reunited.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you all! Yes it has been fun trying out the new toys. Alas, my friend who I borrowed the 70-200 f4 is going on vacation so I have to return this wonderfull lens back to him. I'm waiting for the canon spring rebates to start so I can actually purchase a lens for myself. Lol.
