While watching the area near one of my feeders this morning, I was surprised to see a rather large bird land and help himself to a caterpillar

A trip to the bird guide pinpointed him as a yellow-billed cuckoo

He wasn't interested in working for breakfast, and decided to take advantage of the nearby feeder, hung for small birds. The combination of the heavy bird and the small feeder led to a carnival ride, but he held on till he had his fill.
