Last weekend, went up to the city and visited thezoo for the first time in three years.

All of these were taken with canon 30D 70-200 F4 L lens and 1X4 TC

The first two shots were taken through plastic/perspex type window

These are great shots! In particular I like the 2nd shot with the gorilla? touching hands with the person through the glass. Very sentimental and nicely captured.

All nice shots, but #1 is the one I like because of the intensity of his expression.

These are great shots! I love the one of the hand against hand. Beautiful! Is the 5th shot a variation of penguin? What a cute little guy...Thanks for sharing...........Don

1 & 2 turn out to be softer through the plasticand the substance of the shotsappeals to the eyes. 2 would have been'hand-in-hand' friendshipif without theplastic.

You will notice one common point on all pics : the unsual sadness in the animal's eyes.

I hate zoos... :evil:But great pics as usual :?

Great shots - I love the zoo and always bore the Pentax forum with them.

All of your shots have that certain something that makes you stop and go WOW!.

BTW The glass at you zoo is a lot cleaner than at mine!!!
