Wow, terriffic shots. We have a few blue herons by me, but the one time I had a good chance to get 'im I flubbed it.

Fantastic shots, Don. How close were you able to get to the bird before he flew? I've found where a particular heron loves to fish below a dam, and I've gotten a few pics, but nothing like this level of detail.

i like #6. you are right. he looks quite perturbed. he's looking right at the camera so i'm guessing he's pissed at you? hehehe. very dramatic shot.
