Great shots alady! I always look forward to seeing your wildlife from down under. So different from around here. That golden whistler is a real beauty!! And the scarlet robin is too!! Those 2 robin shots are excellent as it looks like a metering nightmare to get all that red black and white correct. Well done!....cheers....Don

aladyforty,

At the time I am thinking about buying a 30D, your pics are more than convincing...

Would please be kind enough to plug your 30D to your TV and tell me wether you can see the target on your TV BEFORE taking the shot ?

I am planning to take bird pics from my 5 meters tripod, and my tripod forces me to see the target from the ground on a 7 inches screen, so I absolutely need a LIVE AV out from the camera up there...

My purchase of the 30D would depend on this criteria.

Thank you so much

I can't see any way this could work on the 30D, sorry.

no, it doesn't work. The image appears if the camera is in "play" mode. Changing to "shooting mode" gives a blue, no signal screen. Making an exposure gives the new image during the preview period.

It may well be possible on the 40D, with "Live View" however.
