Well done.

Very nice, Klaus. As Kex puts it, it almost looks like a painting. Is this a Photoshop effect, or straight out of the camera ? (I once got a "painted" look out of CP4500 but I still don't know why).

The coloration on the neck is a bit odd... I lean towards PS work. But maybe not, I've seen some strange things in nature!

Either way, it's well done.

I've spend lots of time trying to get good reflections on water birds. They can be just amazing when it all works. That remindes me, I need to post a recent ibis picture or two (where I nailed the reflection!)

I lean toward it having some PhotoShop work done. There is a sort of halo effect on the front of it's neck and near it's bill. Very nice photo. So, is it staight from the camera or not? Woody

Thanks guys!

As Eric mentioned - there's PS work in this shot! BUT the only thing I've done was to paint with the dodgetool (yes - the neck), USM and a frame.

This is NOT a "out of the camera shot" and I'm a little amazed than some you even brought it up.

Thanks for taking time!

As always, Klaus, very nice. But I'm sure you know by now that we like your work.

Everything needs PS work... it's only a question of how much. From what you said, less than I might have guessed. For me, I often find that proper white balance eludes me. I almost always play with exposure comp to get the shutter speed I need (so I must play with levels to bring it back) but the white balance is some times just completely wacked.
