Before it got too hot today, I went out to my local botanical garden and got a few decent bird shots. Although this one doesn't come close to comparing with some I've seen on this forum, this is the best I've gotten so far of a hummingbird.

When Sabine posted a yellow-billed cuckoo earlier this week, I said I had seen only one all year and was beginning to question myself. This afternoon, I caught this guy high in a tree.

Blue Jays are normally one of the most common birds in this part of Arkansas, but I have seen very few this year, and this is the first of which I've been able to get anything close to a decent shot.
