These are just awesome, Mike!! I like them all but that second one at the falls REALLY does belong on a cover....such as NG. Beautiful job.

Were you in that area looking for them or was that a bonus?Using a blind ?

Very impressive...I've never seen a close up of a Timber Wolf in the wild..they're too smart and skittish around humans, usually.
I live north of Minnesota in Canada and we also have Timber Wolves...I've seen a few in the wild, but they melt into the wilderness very quickly.

How did you come across this lone wolf ? What equipment did you use....?

wow. amazing capture mike! the 2nd shot is so picturesque! can you give some details as to how you were able to get these shots? were you in a hide or did you track them? i'm still speechless...

Thanks for your comments and questions... and your patience. I just got back from being in northern MN since last week and just had time to finally get online. I didn't track anything here, I simply stay quiet and know my surroundings pretty well. I will admit to being pretty happy about getting that cover shot, especially since I didn't solicit it.
