A beautiful day today so I thought I'd take my first trip to the Sacramento Nat. Wildlife Refuge this season. I saw quite a few White Fronted Geese, the usual shovelers, about 50 Am. Pelicans and the prize of the day this male Peregrine. He just sat there on this perch for over an hour. He would periodically fly off and buzz the geese and ducks and then return to the perch. I stayed in my truck the whole time and just happily shot away. I took over 100 shots of this guy. Here are some of the most interesting, IMHO. All shots taken with my Nikon D80 with the Tamron 200-500mm Tele in RAW.
Thanks for looking,
Steve

All excellent, but I think I prefer #2 to #3 - it has more of a racier, more "together" feel about it. It is a pose a sculptor would use.
